About Us

The Milestone Partners have been involved in various forms of housing for over 40 years.  Throughout this time period we have provided lodging such as apartments, hotels, office spaces, family homes, church camps, resorts, and company executive & work force living quarters.
About a decade ago, we began supplying modular buildings in Wyoming, Montana, Colorado, North Dakota & South Dakota, mostly for companies involved in the energy business.
______
We spent time in North Dakota checking out the beginning of shale oil wells in the Bakken Oil Field. Business was starting to boom, and adequate employee housing was difficult to find. Williston, North Dakota was the oil boom headquarters. We contracted to lease land for buildings and began calling on potential clients.  Our first client was Halliburton.  Our standard building was custom designed to meet their need for executive employee living quarters.  Halliburton wanted housing that would fit into the community and not be an eyesore; that is exactly what we designed and provided.
______
Due to overbuilding & low oil prices, business in the Bakken is extremely depressed. We have several buildings off lease or coming off lease fairly soon. Unlike most workforce housing, we designed & built our buildings for future conversion to permanent use.

Built for northern climates like Minnesota, North Dakota, and Montana, our buildings have been used for both family & employee housing.  Our buildings were built to provide temporary housing and are designed to ultimately become permanent housing for families, singles, students, group homes, or the homeless.  Our buildings make very nice permanent offices or temporary work site offices.
______
Our premium buildings are well furnished and can be delivered & set up in a short period of time.  They are modular buildings, not trailers.  They are International Building Code (IBC) certified & can be placed on piers or a foundation.
When our factory delivers a modular home to the building site, they take the metal frame, axles, wheels, and trailer hitch back to the factory. We purchase them & leave the frame under the building so that we can move the building to another location. Besides giving us mobility, this allows us to pay the taxes on a temporary rather than a stick built building.

We provide all of the furnishings for most of our projects. Our buildings are modular homes, not trailer houses. They could be placed on a foundation or a basement. When they are built we mount them on a mobile home frame with a detachable hitch for transporting them. This makes it easier to move them at lease end.
